Look at my first picture. This is one that shows problems reading the right hand panel of the start menu.

In the second picture, you see the same set up, but it looks perfect, I am thinking because of the darkness of the wallpaper behind it.

I am going crazy trying to fix this. Tried various settings in windowblinds and start8.

What I do know for sure is that if I unload windowblinds the problem does not show in the start8 menu. Please help.

Borked My Computer

Jun 14, 2009 4:15 PM by Discussion: WindowBlinds

I downloaded Razer Vista (think that was the name) some time ago when I had a subscription for WC. I am no longer a subscriber to the site, but still have my OD subscription. I thought that I might be able to download it again under subscriber resources tab, but guess I am mistaken. Can I still obtain this windowblind for current use? I know there are probably others that I loved and will have a hard time finding.....

Dual Boot with Vista 64

Jun 6, 2009 3:36 PM by Discussion: Windows Vista

I currently have Vista 64 and want to install Windows 7 as a dual boot. Will the installation create a partition for me on the hard drive, or do I need to do that before hand? Will I be able to delete Windows 7 at some point if desired? Thanks in advance.

Is It Possible?

May 5, 2007 3:47 AM by Discussion: Stardock Support General
I purchased Object Desktop some time ago - subscription is now expired but I had auto archived versions of windowblinds each time I updated via Stardock Central. I have two questions:

1) Am I permitted to install Windowblinds on a second (work) computer?

2) If so, how do I go about this? Do I install Stardock Central on the other machine and use the restore archive function on the archived WB file?

How To Get Rid of Them

Feb 24, 2007 4:15 AM by Discussion: Community
Forgive me if I sound like I'm brand new - I'm not. I just sometimes forget things....
I have been a subscriber of WC for a few years (I think 4) and have purchased many products here.
I allowed my OD subscription to expire as well as my site subscription.
Which will allow me to browse without all the ads? Thanks in advance.

P.S. - I will end up renewing both OD and site subscription as usual, just probably not both at once.

Aware of Any Good Ones??

Jan 14, 2007 4:27 AM by Discussion: Skinning
I have looked at many sites and found less than a handful of really good Firefox 2.0 skins. I know that there is a fairly large user base and hoping that folks at Wincustomize can point me in the direction of some of thier favorite skins or skin sites for Firefox 2.0. Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone been successful in disabling the splash screen in Outlook 2003? I thought there was a registry tweak but when googling only come up with tips for disabling the splash screen in Outlook Express. Thanks in advance.

Configuration Problems

Sep 18, 2006 4:36 PM by Discussion: Personal Computing
I have installed Windows Live Messenger on VistaRC1. I started playing around with the different customization settings (background, themepacks, etc) and am left with a fairly ugly looking thing. Does anyone know how to revert back so that what I see is the default setup? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have the same problem. Thanks in advance.

Running During Startup?

Jul 9, 2006 5:58 PM by Discussion: WindowBlinds
The above file is running during startup. I haven't seen this before when monitoring startup items. Should it be there?
